Pyrrhobryum dozyanum

Pyrrhobryum Moss

Moderate careTerrestrialNon-toxic58 cm

A tall, upright moss with stems reaching 5–8 cm, topped with dense tufts of narrow, lance-shaped leaves. Native to East and Southeast Asia, it forms miniature forest-like colonies in yellowish-green to brownish-green tones. It does best in humid, shaded conditions with consistent moisture. In closed terrariums its unusual height adds vertical interest among lower-growing mosses.
