Verdarium uses very few cookies: one to remember your cookie choice, and Google Analytics cookies if you accept them. This page lists them. For everything else about your data, see the privacy notice.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work. Others, such as analytics cookies, are optional, and we only set them if you agree.
The cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These are always on. Without them the site couldn't remember your choice, and you would be asked again on every page.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
cc_cookie | Verdarium | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, and when | 6 months |
Analytics (only with your consent)
These are set only after you choose Accept, or switch on Analytics in Privacy preferences.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells visits from the same browser apart, using a random identifier | 2 years |
_ga_<measurement-id> | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit (session) | 2 years |
Google describes these cookies in its Google Analytics cookie documentation.
No cookies
Vercel Speed Insights, which measures page speed, doesn't use cookies or identify you.
Google Consent Mode
Google Tag Manager loads on every page, but it starts with analytics storage turned off. It only turns on when you give consent. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. Google still receives basic signals with no identifiers, such as that a page was viewed, and uses them to estimate overall usage. The privacy notice explains this in more detail.
Advertising signals are always denied. Verdarium shows no ads.
Changing your mind
- On this site: choose Privacy preferences in the footer at any time to switch analytics on or off. If you switch it off, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
- In your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you block every cookie, the site can't remember your choice and will ask again.
- Across all sites: Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every website.
Changes to this policy
If we add or change cookies, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a new cookie needs your consent, the banner will ask you again.
