A variegated cultivar of the Brazilian prayer plant, with lance-shaped leaves splashed in green, white, and pink on top and vivid magenta-red undersides that show when the foliage folds upward at night. It needs consistently high humidity and warm temperatures, so it works well in large closed terrariums. Non-toxic to pets and humans.

Propagation

Carefully remove the plant from its pot and gently separate the rhizomes, making sure each division has healthy roots and several leaves. Pot into fresh, moist well-draining mix and keep warm and humid. Does best when done during spring repotting.
