Peperomia caperata

Emerald Ripple Peperomia, Ripple Peperomia, Green Ripple Peperomia, Radiator Plant

Easy careTerrestrialNon-toxic1520 cm

A compact, rosette-forming perennial from the Atlantic Forest of southeastern Brazil. Its deeply corrugated, heart-shaped leaves give it its name — caperata is Latin for 'wrinkled'. Slender white flower spikes rise above the foliage in summer. It does well in open terrariums, though its sensitivity to water sitting on the leaves and its tendency toward root rot make it a poor fit for fully closed setups.
